These terms govern your use of GuruMentra (the “Platform”), a product of TodayInTech Solution (MSME Udyam registration UDYAM-WB-03-0108090), Kolkata, West Bengal 700001, India (“we”, “us”). By creating an account, listing a profile, or submitting an enquiry or admission, you agree to these terms.

1. What the Platform does

  • For teachers: software to manage students, batches, attendance, fees, receipts, homework, tests and messages, and a public profile in our teacher directory.
  • For students and parents: a directory to find teachers, send enquiries and apply for admission.

We are a technology platform only. We are not a tutor, school or employer, and we do not verify teachers’ qualifications, results or claims. Students and parents should satisfy themselves about a teacher before joining.

2. Fees between students and teachers

Admission fees, tuition fees and any other amounts agreed between a student (or parent) and a teacher are paid directly to the teacher (for example to the teacher’s UPI ID or in cash). We do not collect, hold or transfer these amounts and are not a party to that arrangement. Refunds, disputes and receipts for those fees are between the student/parent and the teacher.

3. Teacher accounts and charges

  • Registration fee: a one-time fee of ₹99 to publish your public profile and accept online admissions.
  • Monthly fee: ₹5 per student who was active in your account on any day of a calendar month. We issue the bill on the 1st of the following month; it is due by the 7th.
  • If a bill is unpaid after the 14th of the month, your account is restricted: your public profile is hidden and adding students, online admissions and messaging are paused. Your existing data remains available to view and export, and restrictions are lifted as soon as the bill is paid.
  • We are not registered for GST, so no GST is charged on our fees. Payments to us are processed by Razorpay.
  • We may change our fees with at least 30 days’ notice by email; changes apply to bills issued after the notice period.

Refer & earn

  • When a teacher signs up with your referral link or code, you earn a reward equal to 10% of every platform bill that teacher pays us (the registration fee and each monthly bill), for as long as both accounts are active. Rewards are based on the amount actually received; waived bills and bills paid with referral credit earn nothing.
  • Rewards go into your referral wallet and are deducted from your own future bills automatically. You can ask to withdraw the balance to your UPI ID once it reaches ₹100; we usually pay within 3 working days.
  • You can’t refer yourself or create accounts to earn rewards, and a teacher’s referrer can’t be changed after sign-up. We may withhold or reverse rewards obtained through fake accounts, spam or misuse, and may change or end the programme with 30 days’ notice; rewards already in your wallet stay yours. Unused rewards are lost if you delete your account.

4. Your responsibilities

  • Give accurate information and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
  • Teachers must have a lawful basis, including parental consent for students under 18, for any student data they enter or receive.
  • Do not post false, misleading, offensive or unlawful content, or use the Platform to send spam.
  • Messages you send to parents (including on WhatsApp) are sent by you and must comply with applicable law and WhatsApp’s policies.

5. Your content and data

Teachers own the student and class data they enter. You allow us to store and process it to provide the Platform, as described in our Privacy Policy. Public profile information you publish may be shown to anyone and indexed by search engines.

6. Suspension and termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or remove profiles or accounts that breach these terms or the law. On closure we will, on request made within 30 days, provide an export of your data before deletion.

7. Disclaimers and liability

The Platform is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for the conduct of teachers, students or parents, or for arrangements between them. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Kolkata have exclusive jurisdiction.
